Security Measures of Money

Security Measures for the Turkish Lira
How do I check Turkish Lira without money counting machines or counterfeit checkers? As is well known, normal paper is sensitive to violet light and reflects it back. The paper quality common to central banks, on the other hand, is insensitive to violet light and absorbs and does not reflect it back. This makes it possible to check the authenticity of money under violet light. In other words, counterfeit banknotes reflect back purple light and at the same time take on a “white” color. Real banknotes, on the other hand, absorb the violet light completely and remain a “dark” color.
Counterfeit Money Control
As seen in the pictures, real coins appear under extreme violet light, with hidden shapes and pictures placed by central banks.

Ultraviolet light also has another feature in coin testing. Central banks place hidden inscriptions and veins on the coins they issue to distinguish them from counterfeits. These hidden inscriptions can only be seen under violet light. It is useful to add as a note, nowadays they put these secret writings on many fake coins, of course, it does not look original as the central bank prints. But in all probability, you should prefer counterfeit checkers such as pointer 2 or zoom 4 to check for counterfeit money. Because they recognize the money completely automatically and offer the user 100% reliable counterfeit detection.
Hidden Pictures Found on Money
However, there are hidden images on the coins that you can test with the naked eye. You can see the hidden image by holding the coin up to a strong light. (The hidden image is the picture of Atatürk on the left side of the obverse of the Turkish Lira).

You can also go to the website of the Central Bank to find out the serial number of many counterfeit coins on the market and compare it with the serial number of the coin you have.
Finally, to check a counterfeit with the naked eye, you can check the width and height dimensions of the coin. Because usually the dimensions of counterfeit coins are different from the dimensions of real money, even if they are millimeters. In addition, you can use any model of HTM or Mühlen Brand to count the coins and simultaneously check their 100% counterfeit rate.
